Hello, I posted this in the spouse section and they suggested I post it here for a better answer.
Thanks in advance!

Hello I have a question for some of you other coast guard wifes out there,
My husband is in the process of getting everything finalized and should be leaving for basic in a month but what I am curious about is his "A" school. His recruiter said that depending on the length of the A school that they may move me as well. I am really hoping this is true but am uncertain, has anyone been in this situation before? He wants to go to A-school to be an AST and there is a 4 month aviation training thing before hand too.
any insight or help?
I think I will be making my own account on here soon. this is my husbands.
Letty, When your husband recieve's his orders to the AN program, the four month training before A school, you will go with him at no cost because it is a PCS move. Permanent change of station. However when he goes to A school from there he will be going TAD, temporary duty. This means if you want to go with him to A school, which I do not recommend, you guys will have to pay for it on your own dime. His training once at A school is going to be very intense and I know it sounds weird but he should avoid all distractions. The once in a while visit is nice though. Hope this info helps you out.
