I am currently a swimmer. I have my school record, and im pretty good, in my small town. Im afriad that nationally i just dont compare. Im wondering whether ASTs had swimminf backrounds and what speed they need to be going. I heard they have to perfrom a 500 under 7 minutes (not positive if this is true). I can do it in about 5 minutes. Im really just wondering what physical capabilities are necesary here and whether they are with my reach if I work hard enough. I would love to talk to a rescue swimmer if possible.

Look, Swimming is to Rescue Swimming as Running is to Football...have to be able to do it. But It's just a prerequisite. to get into the AN program you need to do a 500, in 13. after that in 12. to get out of school 10. But wait it get's worse. I have seen guys whom were Olympic Hopefuls...Quit school in 3 days. Just like a guy who can run a 40 in 4.4 but still quits the football team.

Your fine with your swim time. Swimming usually is not the problem. It's confidence.

I taught Dog Show how to weave a basket underwater and now he's the best one out there. Except its cold where he is now, sooooo, he doesn't do it a lot these days.

and I taught Polloi how to get out of any situation smelling like roses...2 words...explosive diahrea.
