That's awesome.
I read the story last week and thought of him when I went kayaking on Sunday. We were about a mile away from our launching point and running with a tail-wind (which is actually hard to paddle with) when the size of the waves started to worry my mom. We turned around into the wind and I had to paddle through 1 ft waves while she stuck about 10 feet from the shoreline. After having about five of those waves break over my bow, I was soaked and cold. Then I thought of that story again and told myself "You can still feel your fingers and legs, suck it up and keep paddling".

Sorry for the long post but long-story short...
I probably shouldn't have been out there and wasn't out there long, but it was nothing compared to what you guys put up with. Thank you.
