It is what it is. No matter what kind of training people do before school, easy or hard, it is still at about 50% attrition. I am not so sure it all about the physical training that gets a kid through school...

hello ive recently been through school and "didnt make it through the first time." Since you learn from peoples mistakes ill tell you mine. I had a weak buddy tow, and lacked confidence in myself when it came to test time. Confidence comes from being mentally and physically prepared for what your about to do. Make sure your buddy tow is strong, keeps your legs straight toes pointed and your hip in the small of their back at all times no matter how tired you get. I would start bicycle kicking when i got tired and my hip would get off center. When you do this you are going to waste energy and not move anywere causing you and the survivor to go underwater. So when you are doing buddy tows remember this. The airman syllabus has good pool workouts, but get the most out of them. The more you make it hurt in the airman program the better off you'll be. If you find yourself being weak at something like pushups, sit-ups, or pull-ups work on them in you own time. You can never be too prepared, being that 4 months is plently of time to get yourself ready. Assess you weakness and make them your strengths. And when you get to school take it one day at a time, one workout at a time and one test at a time. It is easy to get distracted on things you cant controll, so focus and what you can and give it all you got. In my opinion and through my expirience its all mental, so focus on being physically prepared and KNOW your gonna make it no matter what challenges you face. Hopefully this helps, and if you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email on global. good luck in training!
