Hi, my husband is in the marine corp and I have been wanting to join the marine corp also for some time now. The major hurtle I have is that I currently weigh 200 pounds. I would like to see if anyone could help me, give me suggestions, or if you think a recruitor would be willing to help me lose the weight so that I could join. Thank you for responding to this. Confused

And two more issues as well that i will have to provide information for. I developed a heart condition in January 2004. They had finally fixed it in October 2005. I can provide the documents that states this. I also have 2 blood clotting disorders. One is called Lupis Anit-coagulant, the Other is something like MFTHR. It has a long name and long abreviation. Though, I have 2 of these clotting disorders, I do not take blood thinning medication for it unless I am pregnant. I should be able to provide records for this as well. I know that I am now a "problem child" for joining but I beleive that if I provide them with this information, I will have a better chance. What is your input on this as well?

Are you kidding. You have a BMI of 34.3. 30 is Obese. You would probably need to be about 135 to qualify. The maximum weight between 21-27 is 141. The max at 40 is 148.

The you add medical problems, which would probably not make you combat ready and I would assume they will not waive the requirements for the army.
