Does anybody have experience with the Perfect Push Up system? It was created by a former US Navy SEAL, and it supposedly makes the push ups much more intense. Is it worth the purchase, or do normal pushups work just as well. Thanks!

why not try weighted push ups if your looking for added intensity?

Look at this kid on youtube, and he's about the only one doing real push ups and not girl push ups lol.

Its harder, but I can't say if better. A guy in the office bought a set, and says they're defintely harder to do. I've read the label on the box, which says something to the effect of the perfect pushup bars forcing you to use a more natural motion. Thought about getting them myself, but for 40 bucks, I'm not so sure. Can do alot of pushups the "normal" way for Free.

Looks like a good way to throw out your back.

I prefer a weight vest myself.

Weighted vests (especially heavier ones) can cost a pretty penny. I do agree they would be a better and more convenient alternative for pushups as there would be no need for somebody to load and unload the plates.

Also, deadlifts, squats, bb rows, stiff leg deads, bench press, etc. all have the same risk level regarding throwing out ones back if proper form isn't used.

If proper form is used and ones core is strong enough to support the weight, weighted pushups are a very effective training method for hypertrophy and function (pushups for example)

A weighted backpack can substitute for a weight vest, even if it does not have ideal "placement."

I got my kid this for his birthday. He digs the hell out of them! It does change the way that you do push-ups---little more ergonomic, effective, the whole lot.
Cost $30

Both work good but the perfect pushup system is more slow and requires working both big and small muscles of the arms. The perfect pushup system handles rotate from forward to side and back on the ground and builds an incredible amount of strength if used with alot of reps.

I got a set about two weeks ago, and so far I'm really liking them.

You'd really be surprised just how many different muscles you work out while using these (as opposed to normal push-ups).

There's a cheaper version ($20) out there called the "Push-up Pro", which is essentially the same thing - If you don't feel like forking out 40 big ones. Smile

Got my push up pro system yesterday and tried them out last night. OMG they make it a lot harder to do and work a lot more muscles then regular push ups.

My brother (a PFC in the Amry) has the Perfect Push up system and we both use and love them. I also do normal push ups for PT max tests and to retain good form. The Perfect Push ups definitely work smaller muscles and when you do the full workout on the DVD...its very intense.

I work out with a guy that puts a sandbag into a backpack. The sand conforms to th econtours of his back, he can add sand whenever he wants, and he uses the waist buckle on the backpack to keep it from flopping around. t's a helluva lot cheaper than a weighted vest.

Twenty bucks at the Wal-Mart, plus tax of course. But you get to take it home, no waiting for it to get lost in the mail.

Last December I bought both to see what the differences were. Same price, twenty bucks per pair. I liked the Perfect Pushup better, returned the Push Up Pro. Shop around people, Big 5 sells Perfect for forty, Wal-Mart is twenty every day. The first month I used them daily, several times a day. Then once a day. Then a couple of times a week. Now once a week. I get bored with my stuff fast, but I have no regrets buying/keeping them.

I've tried the PP and while it's limited in that it doesn't offer a full-body workout, it's a nice shake up to a traditional exercise.

I'd be more inclined to recommend the TRX Suspension Trainer...it offers a whole-body workout that's closed-kinetic chain based (easier on the joints) and heavily engages the core muscles in every exercise.

deleted website and promotion code.

Please re read the TOS.. Especially Paragraph #6 which you are in violation of

Enjoy!
