OK, so I'm gonna join the USN sometime in the summer since I'm graduating in a couple of weeks.
I know this is probably a silly question, but I was wondering if the physical side of bootcamp will give my abdomen and upper-body some tone and definition? Would I be able to get in great shape if I made the best of it?
Well, personally, I went thru Air Force BMT, but I CAN tell you from my experience that YES it will help. I had more upper body definition (triceps mostly) from doing so many push-ups from being put "on my face" with the rest of my flight so much lol. Stomach as well, that's the only time in my life that I can remember having a flat tummy. So yes, if you drink as much water as they tell you to and eat the right foods (because yes, they will give you the option of junk foods like fries and corndogs) then you will be happy with your results.
