I used to eat oatmeal for breakfast every single day for about 2 years. It was the healthiest habit I ever had. I kind of got burnt out on it but I think I'll start doing that again.
I also love adding wheat germ to yogurt. Wheat germ can be kind of expensive but I love it.
It's also good to eat lots of fish for the omega fatty acids. But watch out for mercury, the bigger the fish the more mercury it has. Light tuna has less mercury than regular tuna.
Hello, We are a military family, my husband is retired Navy and I served seven years. Our son is in college and has started a web site to help pay for school. It is Edited URL: No advertising allowed!I think he is really into exercise and weight control, and good eating. Please take a second to log on and check it out! Thank you.
I love oatmeal too! I've found the "Irish oats" or the "steel cut oats" nuttier tasting, and overall a lot better! They take a little longer to cook, but I think they're worth it!
Lots of good advice here, but it needs to be said that all forms of CORN should be avoided. That includes Corn Syrup and High Fructose Corn Syrup! All grocery stores are full of products that seem healthy, but contain CORN. All red meat, unless organic, is grain-fed (including CORN). Per Dr. Robert Young, "Corn contains 25 different mycotoxin-producing fungi." An acid pH in the body (test the urine) and overgrowth of negative microforms are the root cause of every symptom, illness, and disease. Ask on your next health check up what your urine pH reading is - the asians learnd this 30 years ago, we have yet to learn!
