So you are trying to gain weight. You can eat 5 pounds of food and not even gain a single pound. you are tired of looking weak or just tired of looking skinny. Many will say that you should be lucky that you are skinny.They will tell you to sit around to eat PIZZA DRINK BEER to gain weight. That is bad advice to give. so I'm here Struggling along side the few who like me suffer from this problem of being underweight. but don't despair here some helpful ways to help gain the weight. But first some back ground info. I'm 20 years old, I'm 120 pounds and I am 5'11. so i know how hard it is to gain weight. so let me pass on some things that help me gain weight.
1. The first thing you need to do is gain some Motivation. you got to want to gain weight. you got to pump up bring your moral up. here are some ways to do this A. read success story's B. pump your self up c. have your family support you. d. support a friends who trying to gain weight too. 2. plan plan plan. I cant stress this enough. You got to plan long term not short term. you got to set your day out with gaining weight but don't over do it. Make time to eat and work out but make time to do other stuff as well. 3.You got to set up a HEALTHY diet. Be careful about what you put in your mouth. you want to make sure you get a balance and healthy diet. you want carbs, proteins, and healthy fat. This is a tricky part also. here some steps that you can follow by or make your own A. Find out how much calories you take in during a full day. A easy way is a Calculator such as "http://www.webmd.com/diet/calc-bmi-plus" B. They tell you to eat 5 meals a day. But what They Don't tell you is how what type of meals. you want to try to eat a mix of meats, fruit and veggies. you want a balance and healthy diet fit in carbs, proteins and fat. c. cook a whole feast and then break it up for 5 people. Now set your day so you have time to eat each of them 5 meals spread out from the beginning to the time before you go to sleep. d. drink water at least 5-10 glasses though out the day. it will help a lot and you will have more energy. E. eat a snack between those 5 meals such as a shake. try a 3 fruit shake instead of a 1 fruit shake so you get 3 times the calories. Now a you are ready to find a work out routine that works for you. Working out will make you healthy and it help you gain weight. A. find a balance work out set say 30 mins- 2 hours before you got to go to work etc. b. don't over do it. go to a gym or a doctor and ask for a good rouine that will help you. c. drink water as it will help gain you muscle d. drink coffee 90-120 min before you work out as it has proven to help simulate muscles to build faster e. don't over do it set a plan that allows you to work out at least 3 times a week with a rest day in between. f. mix up your routines every time you work out so your body wont get use to your work outs and will help gain more muscle.
