Hello Im trying im trying to lose the weight and BF% (whice ever comes first)
Im 26, 258 pounds depending on water weight. Im with in 1.5% BF, so i got more muscle then most.. I sold my 15's (subwoofers) and got a Elipical, and do about 2 hours (with good Rock music) each time I can.. Iv cut out all liquid calories and try not to eat any carbs 6 hours b4 bed. I really... try to eat just once in the am, when i get up, then eather tuna or carrots then thats it.. Im working 60 hours a week , but I do have kinda 1 day off I try to get 4 hours into on the elip, and the other days I try to get 1 hr in.... I was up to 289lbs but now just holding at 258... Its very hard but Iv been reading the post here and see people taking the drinks and pills to help clean ya out *poo wise* to lose a few extra pounds.... (i rather lose it in fat) so I know I can run the run when needed.. --- my question is that is it better to make ya self sweat more or does sweating really not help with a workout.. I normally do 1 workout with my box fan then one with the fan off.. I know it will remove more water weight.. but i know ya body will try to store more h20 till it has its water back. R.USA |

First, I'd stay away from the pills, etc. as most of that doesn't have any credible research to back up their claims. Also, some items contain substances that will make you have a positive test for drugs on a urinalysis. If that happens, your CO isn't going to buy the fact it is in an over the counter item - you'll be kicked out in all likelihood.
Second, it's good you're trying to eat smarter. However, you are overweight no matter how you cut it. While it may be muscle, all the extra tonnage will eventually take a toll on the knees, etc. BTDT, had the surgery to alleviate the issues. Third, you need to eat regular, balanced meals. Yes, I know it's difficult, but if nothing else see what they have in the freezer case, etc., that is portion controlled and used for weight management. Fourth, I recall seeing a study recently that showed sweating did not necessarily mean you were pushing your body. Wish I could remember where I saw it. You can wear rubber suits, etc., to drop weight, but one drink and it's all back. The fact you removed 30 lbs is good. Don't know your height, but you do have a ways to go. I started at the age of 50 standing 6' 1.5" and 254 lbs. Six months later I was down to 185, and still holding three years later. Good luck. |

SIR SIR >...
Sir your Gunny Nerd found this... http://www.fitness-equipment-h...g_burn_calories.html However, also in regards to the question of does sweating burn calories, you need to know that there are also the instances in which you are sweating and yet not burning any calories at all, for instance when you are in a sauna. When you go into a sauna you are not burning any calories, you are merely sweating. Any weight loss that is incurred is likely to be water loss from perspiration, and then it will be regained as soon as you leave the sauna and drink fluids |
