Does anyone use supplements for bone health? Got some issues with my bones, was wondering if any of the supplements truly work or make a significant improvement in their bones and joints...

Hi BAW! There are quite a few catagories of people who may benefit from a daily supplement. For those at risk of bone problems that would include calcium and vitamin D. Pending doctors approval, he/she can analyzize your health status, diet, and perhaps order blood tests.

Glucosamine, has it merits in scientific literature. Consult with your doctor about the most appropriate supplement regime for you.always check the DRI's recommended and the tolerable amounts given in federal guidelines. ( make sure any supplement you purchase is certified)

Hope this helps Smile

BAW, I have used glucosamine sulfat both on myself and on my athletes, with good success.

Other stuff may work well for you also...osteo biflex, etc. Almost anything with glucosamine will work towards a less painful day.

However, beware of labeling as it can sometimes be misleading. As an example, glucosamine sulfate with either NaCl or KCl afterwards add the unnecessary ingredients of salts as carrier molecules....which can add up to 25-30% of your desired products weight. In other words, some produceers use KCl or NaCl to cheapen their production.
