My wife (also a Vet) and I will be attending a Memorial Service at the Vietnam Moving Wall which will be here in town. After that, we will spend the rest of the day at a picnic at our American Legion post.

Now that I'm retired, I think I'll try to see one of the PArades around here or go to one of the Concerts. Teachers don't get it off for a holiday or anything, so until last year, I'd not been to anything in the 30+ years since I retired - -

YS, I had to drive up to Sarasota yesterday. The DOT has new signs out on I-75 at Clark Road.

I like quiet days. I'll stop at the Veterans Cemetery for their ceremony. I'll also stop to say a prayer at my mom and dad's.

My father went from master sergeant to 1st lieutenant. He always said he liked the stripes better.

Then there's a great steak joint down the street. Just may have to stop off there. Maybe some of you guys will join me.

Save a few seats. I'm sure that somone will show. Well, if they know that you'll be there and what time.

These are my opinions. Yours may differ.

March in the local parade- spend some quiet time at the local memorial, then off to the local VA cemetery to visit some friends from HS, and think on my buddies buried at Ft Bragg.

and then this weekend I will be putting flowers on my Dad's grave since I won't be down there for the day itself.
