doesnt mean I can't defend my balloon..esp since I feel that something is wrong more than what we have heard..sarah was instantly attacked as a matter of fact its the usual for the other side to do that..but they covered the alaskan area to find dirt on her..the only thing they could find was she brought her kids with her and it cost tax payers ..so she paid it back..then she fired someone and they looked into that and it didnt fly...so they had nothing..her daughter got preg a sign of any time.but she upheld no abortion..because she believes that..they love kids anyway..its hard for anyone in america today to enjoy honesty and integrity and all the good characteristics that made this country great because we promoted it...now they laugh at all the good things and if we even get close to it..at all its made fun of..to belittle it...its seen as niave..or not really living on earth..Im just feeling that there is more to this than meets the eye..her approval rate was really high..why....and then bang..she is quitting..i see more ...to this..

Attention all you Pinheads out there who have been making fun of Sarah. Your names are being written down. When she becomes Senator or President Sarah your faces will become brown.

Even if she was thought to be a serious choice by those in the cabal that chose her out of nowhere, she was obviously a JOKE to any serious-minded American from any voting group. She appeared to be "just another good-looking chick to hang on the arm of another too-rich politician"; and that image didn't help McCain at all, because he already appeared to be a decrepit ole caricature who had dumped "the love of his life" for "the big money." How they all failed to step back a little, look in the mirror, and say, "Ya know, we look like a sideshow at the carnival!" is beyond me... Such a motley crew of disjointed appearances and aims was doomed to failure as soon as it was announced. Powell and Rice might have been a good team if they would have come out at the very beginning to run. But every time the Republicans brought out candidates, it seemed just one more desperate attempt to give the public what it might want, not having a clue as to what it either wanted or needed - -

They couldve gone with Elizabeth Dole but they went with a younger, sexy woman hoping that it would matter. Seems pretty sexist, and a slap in the face to women.

I like Elizabeth Dole; but running her with McCain would have been the "old" ticket. Just more for the late night comic routines.

Now as far as the continued attacks against Palin...(the election is over)....I heard one young female democratic strategist comment as to where is NOW (National Organization for Women)? NOW needs to become involved in the best interest of all women.

Hey Sgt. Green. Haven't seen you in awhile. Have you been back to visit the relatives or is it too hot right now?

it's been mentioned by some of the commentators that one of of the reasons the "left" and some of the "right" have been chewing up on Sara is her, ya ready?, pedigree....... they're affraid to let a commoner into the "inner" circle. If you think about it there is some truth to that.... can't let someone into the "club" if they drive an S-10 and eats hotdogs...... oh no, a commoner would just not do. A bunch of phoney azzed basturds we have as our nations leaders if yo ask me....... actually you don't have to ask me, I just said it.
I'd rather the bunch of you running the show as any of them - Wellllll, most of ya anyway. Wink

I think "shallow" is the description you are looking for, mouse. And to be quite honest, perhaps this continued attack on Palin will help to unify people in the next election. People wanted change. Now they have it, and it may not be the change that they were expecting.

I'm not saying that Palin will run....she's a team player and young enough that she doesn't have to be a nominee in the next election. Even her basketball remarks went over the heads of many. Truth and bluntness are foreign and scary concepts to many in the elitist society. Palin may be a strong voice that rejuvenates a party that has been broken and helps it refocus its priorities.

There are some right things in your statement and some wrong things. Here's a right thing: "Even her basketball remarks went over the heads of many." I know this to be the case because I was one of the heads the analogy went over.

Here's a wrong thing. "She's a team player." I can't imagine how you formed that impression. My impression is that her mayorhood and her governorship have been highly personal. I won't bother repeating the state trooper business all over again. And I will just mention in passing her cutting remarks (which may have been justified) about her handling by the McCain management team. When something like mismanagement happens, you're understandably irritated but a team player is supposed to keep her mouth shut about it in public for the good of the party. She picked a personal fight with a late-night talk show host over a stupid joke that nobody remembered two minutes after it was delivered. And her blaming the media for bashing her was a highly personal act. She got bashed for a couple of reasons: (1) She suddenly was picked out of the political wilderness to run as Vice President (and, quite likely, to become president) of the United States and nobody -- in or out of the media -- knew anything at all about her, so she drew a lot of media attention, just as Obama did when he became a serious candidate. (2) She was an interesting tabloid-type personality with sexy legs and a chirpy voice and, as McCain's attack dog, she could make outrageous statement about the opposition "paling around with terrorists", etc., that McCain himself never could have made, and probably wouldn't have even if he could. (3) After her defeat, unlike McCain and others who have lost elections, she wouldn't shut up or regroup. She kept making pronouncements about domestic and international affairs from her base in Alaska. Somehow she allowed her daughter to show up on an afternoon talk show and say things like "abstinence only doesn't work." And then her erstwhile ex-son-in-law showed up on still ANOTHER TV talk show and kept Palin in the news. (4) She couldn't answer -- or she refused to answer -- one hardball question thrown at her by Katy Couric when people were still trying to find out exactly who and what Sarah Palin was. The hardball question was, "What magazines or newspapers do you read?"

Look at it this way. She's got a cheerful, smiley personality, a fetching figure, strong opinions, and a nice feminine voice. She's not qualified to teach a high school civics class, but she has a degree in journalism. She may have a future as a TV personality, maybe a show on Fox News. But politically she controls about 20 percent of the more rabid among us. The next election, like most others, will look like a chess game. The player who controls the center of the board will likely win.

Don't get me wrong. I mean I really, really like Sarah but I just don't think she will ever make it to the White House. She, like 99% of women are just not cut out for Politics. I mean look at Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer, Hillary, Napolitano, Browner, Schapiro, Sebelius and the list goes on. All loud mouth, money craving, scum artists, who are only there because of the money factor. One of the worse days in our history is when we gave women the right to vote.
IMO.

Mind you I enjoyed her remarks because they were rough and rowdy. she was a reminder of my own daughter. they dont look the same as my daughter is blonde. but my daughter lived in alaska for 9 yrs. she married an army dr and they moved to fairbanks where they both went hunting and fishing. she hunt moose, elk, deer and bear. she has the bearskin on her wall and they fish. I went fishing out at seward. well, my daughter and her husbnd loved it so much there that he got out of the army and went civilian dr built a house at ketchekan ..lived there awhile but couldnt stand the rain then moved to palmer wassila...loved it there also and continued fishing and hunting..till she started having kids..I went to visit and went fishing and loved it..so..what the left doesnt like..is the thing we use to bravo about and that was a strong independant woman..someone who isnt afraid of guns..uses them to hunt and also fishes and runs a fly and works in our gov. some one who believes in our american way of life and promotes it..the way it use to be..honest and trusting...today...lies have taken over..sarah was sort of base..grass roots..american not afraid to WORK.. not putting up with gov control handing out money instead of working for it..THEY ARE AFRAID HER IDEOLOGY (word of the era) MIGHT CATCH ON.
