Ok I agree she was a light weight..and she has a bunch of kids..but so does her husband..but if he were speaking out no one would bother with the kid issue...

I dont know why he isnt..she is so pationate about what she believes..so..its up to her.and he agrees to let her and go along and help her ..

Im upset to the teeth...I feel that somehow..I dont know why even..but I was doingn something else and this wave came over me..that SHE DIDNT LEAVE ON HER OWN ACCORD.. that somehow something was done to make her leave her office.

she isnt the type to just leave like that before her term is even up. she is too proud a woman and a good person to actually do that unless forced out..how about threatened out and I had this feeling..it came from the top..

the left or democrats are afraid of her..why??/ because she has this ability to speak... THE TRUTH... when i heard her speak...I was shocked...I couldnt believe that a woman could actually get the words out that she actually spoke.

I expected that from a man not a woman...if she were a man I would have more readily accepted it...but..to hear her ..she is a PLAIN SPEAKER.. something that threatens barracks popularity..as he is a good orator..sarah palin doesnt need the prompter so much.. SHE SPEAKS FROM THE HEART... i HOPE SHE DOESNT GO AWAY...

It just seems that once she was almost forced into becoming not only a national name but also a celebrity of sorts, she was pointed toward epic failure. Her good looks and sexual appeal made her a political bombshell when she burst upon the Republican convention. Her "lipstick on a pit-bull" image made the right wing swoon and scared the hell out of the left.

Unfortunately, she also scared some of the more rational conservatives and most of the independents. A portion of this was due to the incompetency that permeated the McCain campaign. She was badly prepared and totally mismanaged. Those that point at the media in general and Ms. Couric in particular are missing the primary cause of her failure. Her over-the-top personality and her unparalleled mismanagement by her handlers made her easy fodder for SNL's Saundra Fey who actually did more to derail Republican ambitions - by making her a national joke - then any mechanization by the Democrats who were wisely content to not interrupt the total destruction that they could enjoy unfolding before their very eyes.

This epic fail was hastened along by her daughter's pregnancy which immediately was forced into the public eye and made the charges of "family values hypocrite" stick like a Chinese finger puzzle and the more the McCain campaign tried to wriggle free the tighter it stuck.

Her ability to galvanize the fundamentalist base was more than offset by her ability to repel everybody else. However this points more at the almost insurmountable dilemma facing the Republican party. They cannot win without the base and they cannot win without the middle - the growing number of disaffected independents. These two groups are almost mutually exclusive and this is a problem the right has yet to solve.

Sarah Palin may yet prove to be a force to be reckoned with but she needs to drop below the radar and reinvent herself with different seasonings.

She really needs to pal up with Madonna who has perfected this art - but that's impossible too.

Look - she was a bad case of "schtick"...trying to run up a pretty face to sell a questionable product. Works in beer and cigarette commercials, doesn't it? But the problem is, the average, thinking, suspicious American realizes that when someone resorts to that strategy, something IS wrong with the product, and the seller knows it! So the pretty face is camouflage to hide a flaw that might be dangerous. She was no more a natural on the Political Stage than was the Monkeys to rock and roll, when they were artificially cobbled together for a phony American answer to the genuine British performing groups like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones . . . Everybody suspected or knew up front that she was a phony - including her! So, like the Monkeys, she tried to perform her way into some kind of credibility, but never managed to rise above being carnival act - and now she will fade, just as they have - - into oblivion . . .

She also said when she first ran for governor that she would not spend the publics money without benefit. She got pulled into a whirlwind she just wasn't prepared for. Can't really guess what was going on in her head - maybe her eyes got dazzled by being ask/selected, and maybe, living way up there on another planet, she just didn't have a clue about the sharks in the water... But if that is the case, then it makes it even more obvious that she should have stayed in the beginners' pool instead of getting out of her depth. She would have become the poster child for: "If you can't keep your own house in order, how can you run the State's/Nation's business!?"

As a person, she has my sympathy. As a politician, however, there are no points for being out of her league and finally realizing it - -

thank you m551sheridan...I do think that she gave up because of the hammering of her family..but many look at this and only see that she quit midstream..she isnt that type im saying unless she was threatened...and as far as the telprompters...the things she said..were right...i have been to alaska twice as my daughter lived there for 9 yrs..killing bear, elk, moose, deer and having it in their fridge..and fishing ..wow that was wonderful..i couldnt live there because of the weather..but people who do live there have to be tough..to live thru all that..i agreed with about everything she said..how we should use the oil that is just sitting there and what land that needs to be protected there..the pipes they have here are unobtrusive..you only see them jutting out of the ground in a smallish place..it doesnt obstruct animals from running about...I agreed like I said with everything she said and wasnt afraid to say it..she didnt care about the stupid gun lobyists...
