I have two.
One from active, one from reserve. What is odd is I also got one after we were activated then after our orders were up. But when I just got my DD214 per request online I only got the two...active, and reserve.

I've got seven DD214s.

army - discharge
army reserve - to enlist in the AF
air force - discharge
air force reserve - end of eight year obligation
army to reenlist
army to accept appoint as WO
army retirement

Your latest one should show both current and cumulative records.

A listening ear, a caring heart, an open mind and an extended hand may be all I can offer, but it is yours without charge or Judgment.

Thanks for the reply. You would think the military would make a way to combine them into one single document(If you get a honorable discharge from both active and reserves). Maybe someday....

They already have that. You request an updated 214, and that will reflect your Reserve service, including rank, awards, and etc. You must have already been discharged from Reserve to Inactive Ready Reserve if you want the ARR time to show up on your 214.

It's not that there is no God or that He isn't listening. You're probably just asking the wrong questions.

Dennis has around 10 dd214's, but Officers always has more than one in the Marines. I guess other branches are the same. Smile

I have three, and each covers a specific term of service with a beginning and end date. I'll get another one in 2012 or so.

For resumes and job applications (esp. fed jobs), I always provided copies of ALL, including a DD215 amendment to one of 'em.
