Okay, I liked 10Tenths idea for his sentence game. I think it would be pretty cool for a two-player spoken game. However, I thought of something we could do to make this more interesting as a thread. It came to me when I was wishing I could get a second word; then I remembered an old episode of Whose Line is it Anyway, where the players had to speak in varying word lines.

So - here are the rules for the new game:

• The first post will start with a single word

• The next post will consist of two words

• The following post will consist of three words

• The fourth post will go back to a single word

... and so on for a sequence of (1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1...)

In this way, we'll see if this makes it a bit more interesting and, occasionally, one of us will get a more useful two word or three word sentence to work with (you know - for the comedy)

One last thing - PAY ATTENTION TO THE RULES, PLEASE - If the last guy/gal got one word, you get two. If the last guy/gal got three words, you only get one. Also, if there are two posters who post simultaneously with the same number, whoever was last should either edit to the next number in the sequence or delete their post as a courtesy.

ADDENDUM: compound words are, obviously single words, but hyphenated words, such as "so-called" are also to be counted as a single word.
