This seems hard to believe, since there are many military veterans that work for the US Postal Service.

Paso Robles Post Office forced to strip wall of local soldiers' photos

A Central Coast post office is forced to take down photographs of local soldiers serving overseas.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21386100/

Members of the U.S. military have been vilified for their service and have faced criminal charges for battlefield decisions and congressional accusations of rampant "hate crimes." Now a California post office also has banned photographs of local soldiers who are defending their country.

this is terrible, I can't believe how mean people can be, what was their point? This is simply not right, I will have to come back later when I can think more clearly about what to say...this just isn't right!!!!!!

He is a difference. He is my strength. He is a brother. He is a hero. He is a father. He is a son. He is what will protect when we are scared. He is a friend. He is a husband. But most importantly, we must not forget what he chose to be... a MARINE!!!

The story isnt cut and dry like that .Thats a half fact story you would see on Fox (which I do watch) A friend of mine is a Postal Inspector you just cant put up any pictures you want in there be it soldiers or any pics you consider patriotic.
Its same premise as putting up relegious pics in the post office.

I have never heard of that...but who knows, in all the towns I have seen people can put up pictures of their loved ones over seas...it isn't like religious thing in any way....

Did this post get cut or something? I made some entries and they aren't here. Oh well. Here is what you do. Get the local base family support(I am presuming this is near a military base)group to help, put together a poster of the pictures. With the family support group backing it get the Commanding General to back it then have it printed by the base's government printing office. Ask the recruiting office to post it. That is then an official publication. Oh here is a catchy phrase for you. "Join your Citizen who joined". Just an idea.

Guess the only pictures allowed in the post office are "The Ten Most-Wanted" pics, huh? Confused

One more way for the spineless creeps to try to hide the fact that there are HEROES from Paso Robles. They are to dammed chicken-chit to stand up for whats right so they have to find ways of denying the hometown HEROES a space on a wall in their local post office.
I would really like Kevin McCarthy to get to the bottom of this fiasco. The one who complained is hiding behind a cloak of anonymity and is probably too scared to make their own person known to the community. Such as it is with COWARDS.
If a post office can display the "ten Most Wanted" criminals in this country then they should damm well be able to display our nations HEROES on the wall, it's all our post office, not just one person.

Some people just can't help but make trouble it seems. If it doesn't put them at risk than whats the problem.
