If you spent any reasonable time living in the barracks between 2000-Now Chances Are you have Seen BOONDOCK SAINTS. And as most people who have seen it you Probably were ****ed that you didn't see it in the Movie Theaters. Well After 10 years of waiting and Legal battling the Sequel will be out This Friday. BOONDOCK SAINTS 2: All Saints Day is set to premier Oct 30. If you think I am BSing you, GOOGLE is your friend. Why am I making this announcment? because I have been waiting for this movie to come out for over a year and still have not seen one TV ad for it. Since I am not a Blue Falcon I am going to let as many of my fellow BOONDOCK SAINTS fans know about it before they pull it from the theaters. The problem with indipented films they don't get much money for advertising. Hope this helps get the word out. I know where I am going to be on Friday.

I looked it up 2 weeks ago and its not playing around here, but that couldve changed. It changed for that paranormal activity movie. The first Boondock Saints is freaking awesome so I hope the second is too. Apparently they return to Ireland, but find out that a priest whom they had befriended is murdered, so they come back to the US to avenge his murder.

Okay - I ran it down and remember seeing like one advertisement a long time ago... Not much good press on it - so is it worth the time?

The original was outstanding.

Rigger51, funny you mention barracks, my son saw it in his barracks with the USMC and suggested strongly that I rent it. Great movie and I will have to go see the sequel. Thanks for the heads up.

Don

It came out in 1999 but had three obsticles to it's sucess. 1st it was an Independent film so not much monetary backing. 2nd the Critics absolutly hated it. and 3rd it is a movie about vigilantes going around killing criminals and Evil doers and it came out a month after the Columbine High school Shooting. So it bombed in the theaters. and It was acutually Blockbuster Videos that resurrected it and it became a cult Icon. I have never hear anyone say it was a bad movie. So yes it is avavlible on video and DVD, you can go to almost any PX on any military base and pick it up. It is one of the best Barracks Movies of all time.

Okay, that makes sense. Will have to put it on my "Rent and see during winter weather!" list. Wink Big Grin

This pretty much sums it up fairly;

Amazon.com
Charismatic young stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus play two Irish brothers, Connor and Murphy, who believe themselves ordained by God to rid the world of evil men. Their first killing is in self-defense; but after that, they start killing with devotion, gunning down a summit of the Russian mafia. Willem Dafoe plays a gay FBI agent (he listens to opera while examining crime scenes) who knows what the boys are doing but feels that their vigilante tactics are necessary. There's not much plot to The Boondock Saints--it's mostly a series of violent scenes in which the boys are partially ingenious and partially lucky. The movie seems to want to provoke debate about vigilantism, but the scenario is too implausible to stir any real controversy. The peculiar mix of earnestness and machismo will not appeal to everyone, but it's certainly unique and may acquire a cult following. --Bret Fetzer

They're sorta like 7 eleven, they're aren't always doing busness but they're ALWAYS OPEN!!

GOD I love the CAT scene, that was hilarious and totally unexpected.(don't want to spoil it too much for those who haven't seen the first one)

What could be better than Irish catholic brothers doing their part to rid the world of criminal evil?
