Try this, it may work, it may not.

It could be fun, or it could be just too difficult to do. I don't know. But I'd like to find out.

"The Hopelessly Metamorphic Vernacular Game."

(verifiable slang allowed, source of verification to be determined)
All disputes immediately force a time out for verification.

Some acceptable sources:

*http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/dictionary/dictionaryhome.aspx
*http://dir.yahoo.com/Reference/Dictionaries
*http://www.alphadictionary.com/langdir.html (This one will provide a multitude of variable combinations for the game).
*http://www.britannica.com/

If a source is found it can be added to the list of "Some Acceptable Sources".

THE GAME

Any letter may be exchanged with any another letter, one for one.
Example: root - toot

Any set of double consonants i.e. ss, tt, bb. may be replaced with a single consonant or a single consonant with a double consonant.
Examples: cannon - capon or capon - cannon

Any set of double vowels (a,e,i,o,u and y & w accepted as vowels, old school) may be replaced with a single vowel or a single vowel with a set of double vowels.
Examples: bee - by or by - bee

If a word ends or begins with a vowel a single consonant may be added to the word on the beginning or end whichever end the vowel appears.
Example: become - becomes

If a word ends or begins with a consonant a vowel may be added to that word on the beginning or end that the consonant appears.
Example: pathetic - apathetic

Knowing that my brain doesn't always fire right I'm sure there will be some errors in my letter to word calculations but this should allow the words to grow and shrink with some degree of fun to be had in the construction of some words. One thing to remember is to keep within the TOS as far as respect to words that are subject to "The Nanny". I know some will be disappointed with that declaration but if your word gets zapped by Nanny then you lose that round. It's no fun playing the game if your on hiatus, if you git my meaning. This might just be too difficult but with a chess like concentration I think it might.

My first word:

time Eek

It's not that there is no God or that He isn't listening. You're probably just asking the wrong questions.
