Gentlemen I am looking for the exact colors used in the early 70s camo colors for a project I am working on. I believe it was black, brown, tan and green?
I was not personaly in Nam. but know many that were. You post nothing on your profile so know one even knows who you are. What is the projest you are working on? FYI you have the wrong colors for standard issue of the time you speak of except for may be some SOG unit's or Special Op's of some sort.
It has always been a woodland pattern of green, black and dark brown except in the case of "tiger stripes" which had a lot more black and were not in the typical woodland camo pattern. You might want to consult the US Army Museum of History.

Jim I should have just said to ask you I only know of the standard issue we wore were From the Nam. era 1970's.Lite Green Dark Green, and a lite to Dark Brown
I would also love to find a source for the old "winter-weight" canvas woodland camos we used to get. That was before those P.O.S. "rip-stop" camos came out!
