I have recently separated, 1 Oct 09, so it has been almost a month. I was wondering can I still get the military to pay for one more move? I have stayed in the local area since separating, but now I have been offered a job in another city and I thought I remember during my separation briefings someone saying we qualified for one last move. Can anyone verify this? Thanks!

Yes if you had a Honorable Discharge and the mileage to that town is less or equal to if you were moved to your HOR. So if you joined in a town 200 miles away from where you are now then you would only be allowed to move 200 miles and have it paid for. If your home of record is 3,000 miles away then you can move within that 3,000 miles paid for.

Great, thanks for the info. Does anyone know how long I have to use this final move after my separation? Thanks.

That may depend on whither or not you used the military to move you to your current location. You are not entitled multiple moves. There is also time limit.

You can check that with your last or discharging unit.

We wish you success in this new step in your life.

A listening ear, a caring heart, an open mind and an extended hand may be all I can offer, but it is yours without charge or Judgment.
