Not very clear yet, but it looks like the Columbian Military have handed the FARC another great defeat. Americans held for years, and a former Columbian Presidential Candidate freed amoung others. They are arriving at the Capitol of Columbia right now!
Of the Fifteen hostages taken from the FARC, there were three Americans that have been held for maybe 5 years!
The U.S. military contractors — Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes and Keith Stansell — were held for five years by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
And, they were captured on 15 Feb 2003, making it almost 5 1/2 years.
Finally, they're free.
Even though the State Department and the U.S. Gov are probably telling them they cannot talk about their experiences, my guess is you'll see huge rewards for the book and movie rights.
my son was at lackland and had to guard them during transport from plane to plane,he said they looked good, and everyone around was very excited and emotional.i'm glad they still have their pay.i'm very happy they finally made it home.that is a long time.i'm very proud and happy for their families.
Though the U.S. Government and the U.S. State Department will certainly want them to remain quiet about their activities, I'd be looking for books and movies in the near future.
Either or will get them a healthy paycheck.
For many Americans, their captivity was little known or cared about. Finally, they got some of their just attention.
However, movie and/or book deals will follow if they can simply get some press.
