I just noticed that our government's U.S. Mint sells Jimmy Carter bronze medals, 1-5/16 inch and 3 inch varieties. Man, I bet those are hot sellers for the holidays! I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't wait to get mine.

(Seriously, they might be so rarely purchased relative to others, that they'll grow more quickly in value during years ahead. Then again, they might stagflate themselves to worthlessness and be found only in the pockets of Palestinian terrorists.)

I actually have one in a safe place with my jimmy Carter medals. Ok, I do have one of the beers, don't know why except as a conversation piece. I do understand that most dictators and socialist despots are collecting the medals to give out to their starving populace. Wonder how they taste?

Let's see. Kerry got 3 of them. 1) Shrapnel grazed arm. 2) Shrapnel grazed leg. 3) Injury to arm from shrapnel, cost two days of service.

Or so the official story says, but I know this guy at the bar, he said it was 1) Pencil sharpener, 2) Stapler, and 3) Oscillating fan...

Now as for me, I'll take a few of those Carter medals, melt'em down and use the bronze to decorate iron work, likely cheaper than buying bonze in bulk anywhere else...

Kerry went where many never had the courage to go, like Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Drudge....the list of right wing chickenhawks goes on long and strong.

For any veteran to disparage another veterans combat wounds is pretty despicable. It is the republican way though,

Thumper is you find the joke not to your liking I apologize for that. There is a reson I did list the factual data first however. Yes, Kerry recieved three purple hearts, each recieved for differing actions, and all as a result of shrapnel. The first two injuries caused no loss of time on duty, the last cost the man two days and was recieved while fishing a shipmate out of the drink under enemy fire.

Also, I am not a republican. Don't much care for them or the democrats as both are sides of the same coin.

Biden? same 5 deferments Cheney has. In fact Biden was eligible for service in 1962, if he had served his 2 years he would have been done and free by 1965 before the buildup of ground forces in Republic of Vietnam.

Drudge? Born in 1966 or do you normally want 4 year olds fighting in 1970 Vietnam?

Hannity? born in 1961

Limpbaugh- His Draft Number was high-152(No one over 125 was drafted) just like Dodger in Chief Clinton's(311)another never served a day .

If were going to claim chickenhawk, Obama never served a day in any branch and 152 more American Soldiers and Marines have Killed on his watch in Afghanistan then in 2008 under Bush

So if we are to use your logic thumper, Obama, Biden, Clinton are just as Odious, and chickenhawks as Limpbaugh, Hannity, Drudge, Cheney.......

Hey whats your opinion of Democrat Tom Harkin?

After all he falsely claimed to fly Combat missions over Vietnam

How does that make you feel? that the Democrats keep reelecting an admitted fraud who today would face federal charges under the stolen Valor act for lying about his Vietnam service?

As a Pilot who faced danger in combat and lost friends, do you excuse Harkin's behaviour because of his political slant? You would of course agree Harkin is dispicable as he attempted to steal honor away from those who truely served, no?

Bro. Wolf,
If there was a $3.00 bill, would there be a likeness of him imposed on it, along with one of Monica?
