My wife and I will keep her in our prayers.

God willing all will end well.

The frame on my glasses broke, I took them in for repair.

They asked when I had my last eye test, I could not remember. They checked, it's been 5 years, the Dr. said there was a very small change, he said new glasses were not necessary.

He did say, I have the begining of a cataract in my left eye, but does not warrant surgery, he thinks it will be about 10 years before I need surgery. Thats good enough for me!

I've had the weird phenomena of my eyesight actually getting a little better since taking heart medication... No idea why - -

But I also have all this stuff floating around in my vision - looks kinda like floating thin fibers all crisis-crossed. Used to drive me nuts while reading, or while hunting over landscape covered with snow - to have all this stuff bouncing around in front of me every time I moved my eyes,,,nerve-racking!

I've kinda got used to it, but still bothers me enough occasionally to make reading a book a waste of time - -

My Great Aunt had her hip replaced and doesn't have to wear glasses anymore... that kind of stuff is really weird. Maybe with your heart medication it's increased/decreased blood supply doing that. I know when I was on blood thinners while I was pregnant I had those too. Maybe your eyes aren't getting enough oxygen?

Has Mystical heard anything?

More tests today - maybe gall bladder on top of everything else. She's lactose-intolerant, so all this medication is beating the heck out of her stomach, but she can't drink anything that will buffer the effect or cool off the burning -she's really hurting - -

There is a tea that is certified organic that is used for heartburn relief, it's by Yogi Tea and is called Stomach Ease (they have a peppermint tea as well).

Has she tried sucking on a peppermint? Somtimes that helps. She could also chew on some fennel seeds, they help to ease stomach pain.

I have an appt. with the Dr. about my sciatica, I've been taking Aleve per his direction, I've had some relief.

However, I still have moments where the pain is not eased by Aleve!

Have you talked to your doctor about it? Also, how's your BP?

Thanks, a lot of what is described in the article (minus the flashes) is what I have gone through over the last 15 years or so. Things were the worst back then, when I first noticed them and they bothered me so much. I was experienceing borderline high blood pressure, and of course, that was before my by-pass surgery. I don't know if if my blood-thinning medicine has had some good affect on them, or if I have just become more tolerant of the annoyance. Still, they appear in front of my line of focus, and drive me bonky at times when I'm trying to read. When I used to go hunting rabbits with my boys, I kept catching motion out of the corners of my eyes, and of course, it was these spots. That really irritated me. In the summer, when I go on walks in the evenings, it like having mosquitoes buzzing in the peripheral vision. THAT is REALLY annoying!!

By the way, Mystical's exam went great this morning. No C......!! But surgery is still on for tomorrow - -
