My father was drafted into Vietnam and while there, he got his arm beat up pretty bad by rock shrapnel and bullets. He was given an unofficial purple heart as a result. This Purple Heart is not on the books but he does have it in his possession. If it is possible I would like to surprise him by contacting the appropriate people to get it made official. This metal was the only one he earned besides the Vietnam metal for being there. Please let me know if you know where to go to do this. Thanks

I am new forums in general so please let me know if this should be posted somewhere else on the site or if there is a different site better suited for this type of question. Thanks

Make a copy of it and send it to Senator John Kerry in Massachusetts . He should be able to help you with your problem.
