Me ...myself i would....
1. Have all troops fortify the Iraqi oil wells. Move every single military post in Iraq to surround the Iraq oil fields. Then have engineers start pumping for dear life and shipping all the oil back to the United States lowering the gas prices to record lows. While the Iraqis do what they enjoy most (killing eachother)

2. Use the oil revenue to pay off our national debt with China. Let Putin get a piece of the pie as long as he stops protecting Iran.
3. Launch a shock and awe like nothing ever seen before against Iran's nuclear facility and military installations(no ground forces just hundreds of thousands of bombs)
4.Build an electrified 40 Ft high fence(similar to the one in Jurrasic Park) on the border of mexico and the United States. Also make the whole area along the mexican border a sniper training ground for Marines and Army personnel. The illegal alliens currently in the United States will be forced to either backpay all the taxes they never paid or be deported back to their home country.
5. Institute a new VA system based on the concept the more claims VA employees approve the more likely they are to get a raise.

6. Also initialize a Va healthcare system based on the same concept. The more a veteran's doctor actually helps the more likely he is to get a raise or a bonus. Make this system a model for the civilian system.

7. Do away with blackwater and all civilian contractors. Use the money that would normally go to the contractors and give our military raises at all paygrades.

8. Do away with stoploss because our military would be receiving record high recruitment quotas because every1 is getting paid like blackwater was.

Well thats all the things i can think of off the top of my head right now Big Grin What would you do?

Mandatory 15% military discount at Sports Authority, Bass Pro, and REI. That's pretty socialist but hey, I like my mountain hardwear, underarmour, and shotguns.

I have a brother who is a politician. Please don't ask me to identify titles or positions held, but he has been around for a long time. He deals with so many special interest groups that it can be risky balancing new projects with costs. Just this month there was a vote on a $1 million dollar Woodstock Festival museum. Someone with common sense has to deny many of these costly ideas, but politicians get the wrath for doing the right thing.

My license plate idea won't cost very much and is more of a worthy cause than than giving free needles to junkies.

I would, by Presidential decree have the oil companies issue to each and every Veteran a credit card (for life) that states the card holder was to pay only .50 cents per gal of gas. No follow on POTUS would be able to change it for at least 30 years!

Trust me, you don't want that. A Lewis Black comedy show comes to mind with this topic (drugs? Well, which ones do you want to know about?) Or, "today Lewis Black will be sipping margarita's in the Rose Garden." I am at this very moment listening to Peter Tosh's "Legalize It". I didn't choose it to come on as I read your post. iTunes is on random. But, my past is far too dirty for that. But, I could apparently get a TS clearance. Go figure.

(note: I am straight as an arrow now. And, have been since I put my John Hancock on the dotted line).

Hey, Kev....I may have made that last license plate you're so proud of! I only went to jail once in my life before we moved to NC and I have already been to jail here, twice. Do you know that they serve green bologna for lunch. Had you any idea that they wake you at 4:30am to feed you green sausage, with green scrambled eggs and off-yellow grits (I don't know if the off-yellow foretells the age or the counterfeit butter). A huge Mexican offered me a Snickers for my breakfast, I gave him the breakfast AND let him keep the Snickers bar (as I whimpered in my corner and prayed that the condom machine was Out of Order)! As luck would have it, the condom machine was in fact broke, but a guy named Epiminio happened to have brought a butt-load (pardon the pun) of petroleum jelly to the party. I will expand no further upon this story and I will remind ya'll that sex with a chicken is a crime against nature....how dare you? It was, after all, the county work farm and barn animals are bound to be present. Buk-buk.....bugawk! So, what does this have to do with American's Favorite Presidential Candidate? Bupkus,,,just like the thread! Rarely is going to bed now. Rest easy ya'll. I'll be back around tomorrow. Slightly Slanted..rarely enabled

1. All Honoraably Discharged Veterans eligible for FREE Educational Benefits with no time limits...as the norm is currently 10 years after Discharge/RAD.
2. A $3K/month Educational Allowance...added to #1.
3. A 75% increase (minimum) increase on Veteran's Survivor Benefits to the NOK of Deceased Veterans.
4. An award of no less than $2,500/month for former POWs for the remainder of their life, and an equal amount for the NOK of POW/MIA who are still 'on duty'.
5. An immediate closure of ALL Consulates/Embassies and the immediate deportatation of staff from the following countries: Mexico, Russia, Iran and China.
6. The immediate deportation of those countries' representatives currently holding membership in the UN who, on a daily basis, willingly, deliberately and illegally violate our laws...knowing that their 'diplomatic status' renders them immune of our laws.
7. An immediate across the board 20% pay raise for our military...there are still too many of our men and women working a second job, receiving assistance, just to make ends meet.
8. Make it a requirement for our elected state representatives to spend no less than 8 years AD in the military before they are eligible to dictate anything concerning military appropriations/disbursements/sit on military-related panels.

More later... Wink

have our vets and current military taken better care of without so many hoops to jump through or B.S., and one thing that has been bothering me...they say that talking crap about our military and war and all kinds of other stuff is freedom of speech...someone actually told me they wanted to burn the flag in front of me because it was their right...well, I know ASL...American Sign Language...their words hurt like a punch in the face to me...so, talking with my hands, if I punched them a few times...wouldn't that be freedom of speech to me? LOL, i think it should be...
