I heard that I can stay for free for one weekend at 1600 Pennslvania Avenue in Washington DC. As long as I tout Pelosis and those of her ilk, I also must agree to clean up after the "first dog" and take him for walks!
Keep smiling, everyone will wonder what you've been up to! |

Valdez:
If I am even half as smart as I'd like to be, I know to make sure you do not put words in my posts (speaking within this medium)! I have not said anything about this situation being special or requiring treatment different from what anyone else would get. I support a color blind system within the business and educational worlds and do not believe any one group is entitled to legs up or special incentives. Individuals should only have to prove themselves worthy on their own merits and things should at that point take off from there. Just as anyone would expect for their kid, mine should not have been treated differently because he was not black. All points in the story before the medical situation were connected to him not being black. This does not meet the colorblind criteria I support which leads to equality for all. I am not connecting the medical side to the discrimination - your words, not mine. This medical issue is just one more situation to add to the overall experience. Third strike and it looks like he is out where military service is concerned. Am I worried that all hope for affording college is lost? No, I am not and again I have said as much. The point to all of this is to help others see what to look out for when going through this process - that not everything is hunky dory with this program - are they trying their best? I can't say until I’ve seen their best. Should I have seen that by now? If what the local office has produced is their best, I should hope this group is not a mirror image of what happens within this nation. Your right, he will do well - He has youth and very strong determination on his side. Maybe he will eventually see my vision of a colorblind world take root and bloom - that would be a marvelous outcome to a situation like this. Til then Valdez, we will not experience "unity" "equality" or the blessing of qualified education and workforce environments without bias of some sort. Til everyone expects and relies solely on personal ability for advancement, there will always be someone slighted thanks to programs that loose focus on filling positions based on ability. *edited for spelling This message has been edited. The final results on the last attempt at a wavier have come back - denied.
The numbers on a piece of paper from medical were more important than actual physical ability. |
