Happy Birthday U.S.M.C.! 233 years old!

Ooorraahh! Bad memories/hard times; Shaving with 33 degree water at MWTC-Bridgeport..., nearly freezing to death after 3 days of manuevers in Korea while every inch of my body and every piece of equipment was water-logged..., Humping "7-steps to Heaven" in The P.I. while it was about 90 degrees and 100% humidity- (and ditto that for Okino-way)..., trying to get the sand out of your teeth after a week at 29 Palms..., and worst of all... eating at the 5th Mar. Regt. Chow Hall at Camp Marguerita... "C-Rats" were much better than eating at that place!

But to this day... When I see the Marine Band march down Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena on Jan. 1st... I stand up and Salute! Hard to explain, but, kinda like the ex-wife: Can't live with her, but she still "catches-my eye".
