A thread has been started elsewhere, bemoaning the fact that MR. BH Obama MAY ask the Dixie Chicks to entertain at the White House (not necessarily at any of the inaugural celebrations), and this has stirred up some controversy.

If YOU were elected and could invite "command performances", who would you have?

I would probably ask such persons as : Lee Greenwood, Toby Kieth, Sugarland and (non-musical) Jeff Dunham.

How about you?

One would hope it would be Robert Plant.

I would ask Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Aaron Tippin, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Cheley Wright, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, and (duet) Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

You will notice that all of them are country music superstars, what you may not know is that each has supported the military without publicizing it and that means a lot to me.

Our nation has men and women in battle on foreign soil, we have the highest rate of unemployment in many decades and several tens-of-thousand more people about to loose their jobs, we have an overwhelming national debt, a financial crises on several fronts, and military veterans who are homeless and in dire need of earned and greatly needed medical care.

That being said, I would choose the type of entertainment that HST and LBJ chose when they first assumed the position of POTUS.

This is not a time to celebrate, it is a time solve problems .

That is, IMN2BHO, the way is or at least the way it should be.

A listening ear, a caring heart, an open mind and an extend hand may be all I can offer, but they are yours without charge or judgment.

I think a mix of superstars and local talent would be a good way to go. And you can't, just can't have an American celebration without the queen of American musics- jazz. I'd find a way to work the LCJO in somehow.
