I dont know if this has been posted before. I am an Officer in the British Army and i am coming to visit family in FL this christmas. I was wondering if i am entitled to the same sort of discounts that you guys and girls get?

Since such discounts are offered as a Patriotic Support of our Troops, I'd kind of doubt it, but each business sets its own policy, and it is as much a way to draw business as show support anyway. Just ask each time you try to rent a car, buy a plane ticket, or rent a room. If you subtly suggest you might go elsewhere, you never know - -

Also, I know that there are British military members stationed at various military installations in the US. We can not list such installations on military.com because it might be an OPSEC violation.

You might want to check with your liaison office to find out what privileges are given to the British military in the US.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the US as much as my family and I enjoyed our visits to England.
