I was wondering if anyone knew if their was any kind of funding to help vetrains that have fallen behind in their rent (due to unforseen cercumstances) to get them back on track so they don't become homeless. If so could you please email me at No personal contact numbers. All contact must be by reply to this thread or through the Friends Link on the profile page.

numbers...... to many come here and lay this line on us so I do not think you are going to make much headway in these forums.

If you are for real then from someone who has been in your boat I say you need to readjust your money management techniques and know each year will get better. Good luck.

You should not post your personal e-mail addr., we can't guarantee that there are not any nut cases here.

You could as people contact you through your profile.

Keep smiling, everyone will wonder what you've been up to!

Check with your local veterans affairs councillor. If you are on disability there is some help available, otherwise welcome to the "new economy".
Good luck.

Talk to your landlord. I can't believe your landlord would not help a fellow veteran. Smile

Your profile says you are active duty. I'm sure your First Sergeant would like to talk to you about this matter.

A listening ear, a caring heart, an open mind and an extended hand may be all I can offer, but it is yours without charge or Judgment.

Hi guys and gals, Why don’t we not concern ourselves whether the OP is asking for his own benefit or for veterans he may be trying to assist?

The OP could if he desired, clarify the matter. But either way it would seem a good time for us to do a little research to find agencies that are available to assist veterans, GIs and their families who need temporary help with housing and other such necessities.

What say you?

As for this need for active duty personal I would strongly suggest that they start by working through their chain of command, the chaplains, their Family Recourse Group, the Red Cross and agencies such as Army Emergency Relief. I know in my time in a leadership position in the military I would have wanted to be the first to know when a subordinate had such needs.

For vets, there may be some help from your county veterans service commission, or the United Way.
