You must not be that intelligent, because you were assuming incorrectly that I am inquiring as to the ratio of men to women in the Navy Reserves for social purposes. In the Military one does not make assumptions, that to me shows you yourself should stay out of the military. So judge yourself before you judge others.
Take a few minutes to read the TOS and read and heed before you get to far over your head here.

I'm good at recognizing pin-heads. Military service cannot be associated to frat-house living. This is why our service members are professionals. Their responsibilities are awesome and tools lethal. Looking at your other post on how tough the physical demands are for Navy service, you probably don't have a chance.

Come on Kevin, don't tell me you did consider your uniform wasn't a chick magent?
Ok let me "REWORD" myself. I AM A FEMALE trying to find out how many women actually inlist in the navy reserves. It is a legitimate question. I dont feel that its right for someone to belittle my question. I am not considering joing to find a "man" and I am certainly not immature for asking this question. I would be inlisting to serve my country.
I joined while the draft was in effect. Duty, honor, and the desire to serve come to mind. There's also other reasons that I can think of, like young people seeking more responsibility. The enlistment bonuses, educational opportunities, and guaranteed jobs can sway someone undecided now too.
If the poster is trying to backpeddle and claim the post is for some other reason indicates to me he ain't truthful.
I have a feeling he's not new here. New numbers as of today, but he's been around.

Then sweetie you come off with a tough tone. I hope you are just as receptive taking orders and being disciplined.

Ok number, at ease. We have an irreverant sense of humor around here. You need a thick hide. The miliary is the same. If you considering enlisting thats the first lesson you need to learn.
The ratio should not metter, what's important is what are you PERSONALLY want to get from it. Women can and do join, though they are resricted from some areas (like the sub service for example). And there are some rates that atract more women than others, Hospital Coprsmen for example. Go the other thread you started about the physical requirements and follow the link I left you there. You can talk to people that are real life recruiters. You also can talk to your local home town recruiter as well,
One final note, READ the READ and HEED at the top of this thread. Getting into peoples faces when they pull your tail is not the way to gain friends and influence people.
well then its ok for someone who does not know me to insult me by telling me im immature. but its not ok for me to reply. I am very aware that whatever field you go into has a different number of men to women. like you said medical field has more women than men. i was asking out of curiosity. i am an ASE certified mechanic which i got through high school i do understand that in the mechanics area there will be more men than women. i was just trying to find out how many women actually inlisted in the navy reserves. i was raised to be respectful of others and i dont think my original question warranted an insult.
your question has nothing to do with the question i orginally asked. being a female i just wanted to know how many other females were in the navy reserves

Numbers, I have done nothing but try to be helpful to you. You can take or leave my advice. It's great your a mechanic and can probably find an rate open to women for that. That having been said, I'll admit your question is odd. Can we give you exact numbers, no. But I can tell you that you will be predominatly around men, especially as a mechanic. But again, that should not come between you and your goals.
I did not mean to offend anybody on this discussion board. I just wanted to get more information so I could be more knowledgeable of the facts. I did not think it was an offensive question, I know more men inlist than women. I just wanted to find out, thats all. I just wanted to find out as much as I could.
Thank you for your advise Navy8086 its not going to come between me and my goals. I love doing what I do and i know that i will be around more men that women i just wanted to find out
OK, Numbers first of all, You could try this forum as well ....Joining the reserves They can probably give you the answers you looking for, THere are real live recruiters there. Any questions, just holler. SOmeone will probably have the answer.
