It is definately best for you to let him get a new prescription from the AF doctors.

There are jobs in the AF that you can't take any presciption meds without it being approved by the AF doctor. They have now relaxed the rules on many non presciption drugs but I would have gotten in trouble for taking aspirin or tylenol without having the doc prescribe it.

Well my meds was sent to my home because they didn't have my unit address so my Mother had m,ailed it to me on post. So in that case I see no problem.

I would not run the risk. They maybe prescribed for him on the civie side, but if he has a pee-pee test and it comes back his civie meds may not be accepted unless they ARE prescribed by the military.

May I suggest that You Don't do it. Your Son should know better. He needs to go on Sick Call and see a AF Doctor.

I sent my nephew (AF) a care package while he was in basic. The package included a bottle of Advil which he informed me was not allowed and he threw it away.

Nope, a definite NO NO. We sent a Reservist to the brig once on our two weeks for possesion of prescription pain killers. He claimed he had a prescription from his doctor. Did not do any good, he should have brought the prescription with him so he would be covered for the two weeks.

Have the store that you bought it from ship them to him. They are allwoed to do that. You are not.

Do not ship them yourself. I worked Military Police Investigations and that is not allowed.

Not a big crime, but just don't chance it.

As far as multiple posts, in this case it was right to find out the proper information.
