What is the Central Committee and why is it important for our veterans.

The Central Committee is the lowest elected official in the community sometimes called block/precinct captain. It is also the direct connections to who runs for office. Throughout the country this volunteer position though somewhat forgotten is really where we as citizens can make the biggest difference to the direction our country is headed and the future of veterans affairs.

Since I live in Los Angeles County, I will use this as a model but the particulars of your area can be found out from your local County Clerk or Register Recorders office.

We are divided up into 26 State Assembly districts 14 State Senate and 18 Congressional Districts. Each political party get to elect to the central committee 7 seats to the Assembly District/AD including one or more ex-officios who ran for office or was elected to office in either the AD, senate, congressional Governor and federal senator.

However, you might be asking why this is important to me?

Have you ever called one of theses offices asking for help? If you are lucky and have someone who really works for the people then you might get some help. But let take that phone call and say I am the Chairman of the 44th AD or let’s say you are elected to being the Chairman of the county how will that phone call sound now when you need some help or bring up an issue?

Being an elected official your oath of office is to the Constitution of the United States and that of the state you serve.
It is not about really arm-twisting but having them be responsible to the people, they serve. Here is a link to our bylaws Hot link deleted as an unapproved. OP must read and agree to the Terms of Service link is at the bottom of this thread.
which have the duties and direction of the republican central committee. Some of these committees are…

Precinct
Candidate Research and Development
Youth
Community Outreach
Labor
Information and Education
Speakers Bureau
Independent Volunteer Republican Clubs
Fair News
Computer Services
Election Security

Looking over these committees you can see the importance of them and how they can affect your community.

Here is Los Angeles County we are asking all veterans to run for the central committee so that we can remove the pirates from office. Being a veteran and from a family of veterans I know that my service to my country did not stop when I was released from military service and that my children and your children will need our help to restore the Republic that we pledge to defend.

Sincerely
Robert W. Vaughn
Chairman of the Republican party of Los Angeles County

I understand your thought but this is how the grassroots volunteerism is set up here in America.

Each of the seven political parties in Los Angeles County gets 7 members from each Assembly district totaling about 182 members. We are sworn in as any elected candidate to defend and protect the constitution of the United States and that of the state we are elected to.

There are differences from county to county and from state to state but this is where it happens on the ground floor. That is why many Vets and other have decided to run for the position since it has been corrupted and we need people of service not those who are self-serving.

You can check on the Bylaws on lagop.us under the download section and it pretty much describes the duties of the members. RPLAC Bylaws.
