I always vote too. Except for one year (96?) I was out of town, working, btw. My boss promised to get me home in time to vote...he drove me right to the polling precint...but 10 min late...I quit him the next day.

Recently I have been spelling "vote" v-e-t-o.

This morning I was walking my dog along the beach and I heard two loud screams. I looked up and saw two bald headed Eagles. I thought of Andy Sterns and the SEIU. I thought of ACORN and Obama. I thought of the black women who were shown on the Glenn Beck show wanting "Obama Money". Yes I will someday vote but not until the civil war in this country is over. Americans will take to the streets soon and they will kill each other. Thousands and thousands will die. The Civil War will look like a childs game.

Probably not. There are no regional militias any more, and nobody is really that angry. They're just a little frustrated.

I Voted today, just some propositions for
the Texas ballot.

The thing I always had a problem with was
before I retired I would go around and ask
the folks at the plant if they voted.
Most would say I forgot or I only vote in
the big elections, These are the ones that really should not vote anyway. If they don't
care enough about all the voting that includes
propositions to change the Contitution of
the State laws, then they do not need to vote anyway.

Ost of the people who said they only vote in major elections where the so called Union
Stewards, These are the one that are supposed
to lead by example. They were also the ones
I did not like working next to as I found most
of them lazy. The lazy also showed there voting
record.

I say this, " If you do not care enough to
get out and VOTE, just send me all your money
as not VOTING is just giving it away to someone
who will spend it on a bunch of bull".

That address is, Your Money care of TheBigRed
MFT. I will spend it with no promise to do
anything for you.

SO GET OUT AND VOTE!

Ive said before and have still not been shown where I'm wrong in my thinking but...

Voting is a serious responsibility which, if it is to be effective and meaningful, requires a lot of paying attention to current events and the workings of the government. If a citizen decides not to undertake that effort (totally his/her decision), I'd just as soon thatperson/those people sit it out, don't vote. A vote cast for the wrong reason is a vote for chaos. Differences in opinion among informed people is a very healthy thing when dialog ensues but differences in opinion among ignorant people is hysteria waiting to happen. I'm put in mind of Leno's J-Walking bits...so pitiful. So, vote but vote from informed decisions not from the tingle up your leg.

This as I see it is one of the most important aspect of voting. Too many voters just look at the (D) or the (R) without really looking at the candidates and their position on the various issues. It is more the idea of what can I get from this candidate, rather than hows our nation is effected by the agenda. As a Conservative who votes each and every time, I pick the best candidate. It has been years since I have supported the Republican Senate incumbent in our state and have lost respect for the other Republican Senator. I did vote for a Democrat Governor twice. Its all about the issues and whom you can trust. Vote, but try to be intelligent about it.

Duster, Duster, Duster ~ I have a (paratrooper) friend who keeps saying;
Every time you learn **** like this, go grab your rifle and run outside. If you're the only one standing outside with a rifle it isn't time yet.

Applause

So. . . I voted yesterday, a little after 4:00pm . . . I was #0274 (how sad is that??!!!) Among my errands, I swung by the grocery store. There was a lady pushing a cart with a little girl (about 7- or 8-yrs old). The girl was whining “I don’t want to go to vote.” Her ma just told her she had to vote, it was an American right and privilege and that Soldiers gave them that right. THAT I was very happy to overhear and I told her so along with a thumbs up!! It was good to see patriotism being taught to the youngsters.

The fewer voters means more conservatives get elected, because it is the liberals who don't see it as a duty to vote. Conservative vote, come hell or high water! Works for me - I vote every time since 1972 in Germany.

After reading several post I understand why I left this arena. I’ll not dwell with cowards who live in the muck like worms and die seeking false peace while leaving the bias of the politically correct to your grandchildren.
