Question:

I was reading the Navy Times today and started glancing through the names in the boot camp graduation, just to see how many people had my rate (and for fun). I noticed that they listed some people as CTI or IS, and then some people were CTI-ATF and IS-ATF, respectively. Does anyone know if they printed them like that because there is a fundamental difference, or is everyone in those particular fields part of the ATF, and they just didn't print it as such?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I don't know if you can pay much attention to the ratings of boot camp grads in the Navy Times. They put my rating as CTR when I was always a CTI.

Most of them it didn't even list the rating for, just their rate. I figured it wouldn't be 100% accurate either, as how can it be when these people haven't even really been to their A school yet? I just didn't know if some CTI's/IS, possibly others, got the ATF or not.
