Good Morning, can someone help me with a little bit about the history of the Navy's Cryptologic Intel development from 1925-1947? If there is a book, or any other reading material about a Navy Captain that had a huge part in the development of the program it would be much appreciated. Or a name of said Captain. If you dont want to post here, my profile is public and you can email me. I am an active duty Coastie, so please be easy on me.

Oh no really? I had not realized that changes were made and no one can see my profile. I guess I will wait and see what answers I get here until someone asks to email me. ugh. Why would admin do that and not tell us??
Mrsjvb, thanks for the hint. I will try and google that and see what I come up with. If you remember the name, please post! =)
KJ - have you tried Google? I just did and got 17K hits using "history of naval cryptology" as a search parameter. There is everything from official statements from NAVSECGRU to references to authors, books, and articles on the subject.
