I am a FT2 about to get out, or so thats my story. I am thinking about staying in only if i get off of subs, CTN sounded pretty good, Questions I have:

(1) are yall undermanned ?
(2) I will prolly make FT1 on next test, should i submit as an FT2 or wait till FT1?
(3) I am pretty much the network admin on the boat, I have been sent to JNC and NSVT,
(4) I see yall have a SRB of 3.0, if i reenlisted would I get your SRB or mine (FT is 4.5)

Thanks
FT2/SS

do it. it's a new rate right now and have a ton of 'special' incentives. My friend just converted from CTT (former CTT myself) he currently has a ton of CISCO certs to back him in the afterlife. CTN is probably the best up and coming rate in the Navy right now.

Check the quotas, almost all the CT branches require E-4 and below for conversion only. You push buttons advance too quickly!

The navy instruction for conversions highly discourages approval for first classes to change rates, but it does not disqualify them.

Conversions for E-5s were being accepted in July, when I got approved, I do not know about now. (Career counselor question).

The quotas for the fall exam show that 100% of CTNs taking the test made E-5, so I am guessing they are still taking conversions. There are a bunch of other factors, such as your rates CREO rating, so I would talk to you Career Counselor (and I hope for your sake you have a good one).

Sorry I was talking about the conversion quotas, they come out monthly and have the requirements, and quotas for people who want to convert. All the CT branches require you to be E4 or below to apply.

You should check bupers and check the conversion history, FT1 for sure you wont get converted. FT2 maybe.... I passed up ABH2 exam 2 times just so I can convert, pna it once for poops and giggles but my rate is closed allot. Now not to step on your toes but if you know how to find the SRB I am sure you can find the detailed conversion information its on the same website.

http://www.npc.navy.mil/CareerInfo/EnlistedCareerProgre...n/RatingConversions/

Now I did some checking I see not one FT conversion approval or disapproved all pending for all rating conversions. I see that the your creo is 2 for FT2 and creo 2 for FT1, its a iffy. But never hurts to try! Make sure all your paperwork is ready.

The error was my Sec manager told me I did not need a peice of paper, but Indeed I needed it and had to wait 2 months for that. Like they all say talk to the CCC's.
