Hey guys I am looking to join the navy to work ni intelligence. when I get out of the navy I would like to join the fbi. The fbi has always been my job of choice. Will I have a better chance getting intelligence jobs as active duty or do you think I will have the same chance after the navy as a reservist?

Your initial training is the same regardless of being active or reserve component. You need to consider work experience....on active duty you would likely gain experience much more quickly than as a reservist since you'd be doing the job full time.

I suggest you look at your current degree and work experience and compare that to what the FBI looks for. Maybe you can call your local FBI office and interview someone there to get an idea as well. Use this information in making your decision.

Good luck!
