You can get the internet. It's sprint DSL, but I have a friend in the air force who has some kind of satellite internet card that he uses which he says is faster than the DSL. It's about $40 a month for the DSL. It's not terrible. When I first got here I wanted to kill myself because of how slow it was, but they've added some speed to it since then and it's ok now. They're supposed to be installing base-wide wireless sometime, but they've been saying that since I got here over a year ago.

First of all, Im not sure why anyone cares how fast the internet is....They have internet and its fast enough to check email and what not. It is however fairly expensive( for the quality), and you dont have many options(one as far as I know, not sure what the air force guy was using). But they do have wireless at the library on base if you have a laptop and there are also computers to use in the Navy building and the library....

Some people take online classes and need a fast, reliable internet connection. Also, there are some who play video games and download music, movies, etc, and having a slow connection can be abundantly annoying.
