I have been in the Navy for about 6 months I'm currently awaiting ATO A school in pensacola which so happens to be next to correy station. Initially, i was supposed to be a CT-R but was denied in Boot due to poor credit, my credit has been fixed and I was wondering if there is a possibility or what the procedure is for trying to get to CTT or CTR A school which is also here and studnends there are even in my Barracks, any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated
You guys should have a Career Counselor - talk to them...you'd need command support to cross-rate. Also, when it comes to a TS/SCI, credit is a factor; while you say your credit has been fixed (which is great!!), it may take time proving yourself credit worthy in order to get a clearance.
I thought you had posted that you couldn't get the ratings you wanted (CT or IS) at MEPS, due to a petty theft that happened 5-6 years ago? Just how bad was that credit exactly?
Message to Mods: March 18th- I think this post should be deleted, we don't need any more misinformation out there about security clearances, credit etc.. I think the inconsistency of this guys posts alone should tip off that he's full of it or at the very least not being honest.
