My recruiter just asked me in which of the 3 I was interested, and I realized that I was not sure. My understanding of the 3 was that Intel centered around analysis of data, IW was centered around the crypto specialties, and that IP worked the networking side of the affair - although I will freely admit that I am not too familiar with IP.

Can anyone shed some light (within the limits of a public forum) on what JO's in these fields do? Just polling the field, folks.

I was under the impression that one had to Laterally transfer into IP and that you could not get it upon commissioning. has that changed?

I am not sure - the little DCO brochure I got does not list it, but he mentioned it as an option. Perhaps he made a mistake?

and yes you can go directly into IP as of now, I tried DCO route last year and didn't get in, I will re-submit for the Feb/March 09 board.
