I am an almost 8 yr FC who just made FC2. Currently, i am trying to make the change over to the rate of CTN. I have been taking civilian hands on training in A+,Net+,Sec+,CEH,CCNA, and MCSA at New Horizons Learning Center and i already have a TS and am SCI eligible. So far the only thing i am fully certified in is A+ IT Technician due to the fact that i don't have much time inport (been on sea duty for 6 years). I was wondering if you guys could give me any pointers on what to put in my conversion package.

Hey there FC2, check out the thread entitled 'Just converted to CTN' to answer your question. If you have anymore specific questions after that, feel free to send me an e-mail - same goes for anyone else considering a conversion to CTN.

hey man i will give you the words directly from our NC1 here onboard the ship.
first thing you do is read MILPERSMAN 1440-010 and make sure you fit all the requirements.
I found this message on the NPC website:

Required Documents:
o 1306/7
o Last 3 evals
o ASVAB scores (AR+2*MK+GS=222)
NO WAIVERS TO ASVAB REQUIREMENT
o SF-86 (only those who do not hold
TS/SCI clearance)
o SSO INTERVIEW
o Any pertainent information (i.e. smart transcripts, electronic training jacket, civilian certificates.)

It is highly recommended that those assigned to a command who have access to NSA net or JWICS complete the NETA 1009 course on Vuport prior to submitting conversion request.

Now...you route a special request chit up with:
-obviously your special request
-sign onto PRIMS from bupers online and include your PRT and BCA sheets
-last three EVALS
-print out your ASVAB scores from your electronic training jacket or w/e way is easier for you

I am also looking to convert. Good luck to you.
