Thinking about trying to get Two Rivers and was looking for information about the area, in particular housing. Is it available or is going out on the economy the way to go?

The only "CG-sponsered housing" I know of is the caretaker's cottage at the Rawley Point Lighthouse.

You give up your BAH, live at the cottage, and are responsible for upkeep at the lighthouse.

BTW, there are two additional rentable cottages at the lighthouse, also. There's a garage with implements to keep the grounds manicured.

Though, you are a stone's throw away from the beach on Lake Michigan and in the middle of a state park. The other cottages are rented through MWR at Sector Lake Michigan.

Other than that, I'm sure its all on the economy.

The economy is really the only option but you have two rivers and manitowoc is just a little south of there, plus a lot of tiny town around the area. It is a nice area and the station is a large old life boat station. green bay is about a hour away as is the fox valley so there is plenty to do around the area. good luck

I looked at the lighthouse and what a deal. Is that a billeted position and if so where is it at?

I knew an MK1 that lived there, and when I stayed at one of the cottages the following summer, he and his family had moved on (he retired) and the caretaker cottage was empty. I thought I hear a new BM1 at the STA moved in, but I'm not sure.

You might want to reach out to STA Two Rivers and ask.

Good luck!
