I am moving from the west coast out to Hatteras, NC. I was wondering if anyone had info on the area. I am a single mom and would like to find a place to live prior to arriving. There are no places listed online pertaining to long term rentals.
Above is a link to Century 21 real estate office on Hatteras Island. You might want to call their 1-800 number to see what is avalible in some of the near by towns. Waves, Salvo, Roadanthe, Frisco etc. I lived in Nags Head when I was stationed there (government housing) It's about a 45 to 55 minute drive one way to get to the Station from Nags Head but there might be more long term rentals there. Nags Head is a much larger town then Hatteras. Better shopping, schools resturaunts etc. Give the station a call as well they should the latest and greaest info for you.
Which station? I was stationed there four years. Loved it. But then I love to surf! If you are up north (Nags Head, Kittyhawk) you can probably find something within your BAH. Down south may be a little tough. I don't know what they have done since they closed housing. Good Luck.
