Just curious if anyone knows if there is someone we could speak with about renting a home in the St. Pete, Tampa, or Clearwater area. Any insight would help. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. We are definately not looking to purchase a home. The market is a bit scary in Florida right now. We are more so just looking to rent a home and preferably one that its sole purpose is to be a rental home. We are not looking for a rental that is also for sale due to buyers being in and out of the home and risk of having to leave if the home is sold. Thanks again for whoever has replied and still looking for advice on if anyone knows of such a place or someone who can direct us to find such a place. Also thank you Deena but I think that the home you are offering to rent is probably a bit out of our price range right now. We arent going to need something for a few months but I am trying to plan ahead a bit.

I will be pulling my house off of the market and will be looking to rent to military families if I can't sell soon. It is a great house in the middle of everything. Please feel free to check out the listing.

Close to Station Sand Key, Air Sta Clearwater, appx 40 min from Sector St Pete (Easy Commute). Beautiful Dunedin home. Only 3 years old! In established Dunedin neighborhood. Close to Downtown Dunedin, Schools, Countryside Mall, Pinellas Trail, and much more. Home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and large 3 car garage. 1440 sq ft. Greatroom floor plan, cathedral ceilings, 2" wood blinds throughout, master bath with garden tub and large stall shower, his and her walk-in closets.

Visit (www.realtor.com/realestate/dunedin-fl-34698-1097640289) for additional information and photos.

Thanks for the info. We probably would not need the home until around November or so due me having to live in Orlando and going to school and my husband not wanting to pay 2 rents. How much would you be looking to rent the home for? If you decide to pull the house off of the market keep us updated and I will of course have to discuss it with him. If you choose to go this route you can e-mail me at harlan026@yahoo.com. We would definately rather rent a home than an apartment.

I totally understand. I wish you luck on the sale of it anyway. I know the stress of selling a house since we are going through it as well. Also, we do have a dog and a cat. Not sure if you are wanting possible renters with pets. I guess just keep us in mind if you do decide to rent it out. Thanks

Your property sounds like what my family and I are looking for. I will be transfering this summer to work @ the clinic @ the Airsta and am looking at living in the Dunedin/ Safety Harbor area. I too will be looking to rent due to the market. If you were to rent it, would you be renting it until you sold it or are you consider making it a rental property? Any information on you property would be great. Thanks. Patrick

Patrick, I am strongly considering making the house a rental property and will not keep it on the market while doing so. The house will be available in the middle of June. If you have specific questions about the property please email if you like at, ebaoregon@hotmail.com .

I posted this info for someone else a while back. Maybe this might be of some help to you.

Good luck,

I lived in Palm Harbor from '02-'06. That's only about another 6 miles north of Safety Harbor. Depending on where you might decide to live, you can take either McMullen Booth or Rt. 19 south to the Clearwater Air Station area. Both can be a joke during rush hour traffic.

Once you go up McMullen Booth a little ways, it becomes Eastlake. It was up in that area where I lived. It isn't that hard to find places that take dogs, even a large one like my German Shepherd. Here's a link to Lansbrook Village where I lived.
https://my.apartmentsearch.com/db/app.pl?complex=Lansbr...01&mode=app&db=myss2

The photo shown on that link is one of three apartment type buildings. Most of the property is filled with Town Home type buildings. It's about a 20 min drive South to the Clearwater Air Station depending on how bad traffic is.

I loved it there...4 pools, carwash stations, tennis courts, volleyball pit. There are a number of other nice condo/apt areas like it in the same area.

Publix grocery story is right there in front of Landsbrook, banks, Varsity Sports bar.

There are large hospitals nearby. Hopefully you will never need to go but if you do, I spent a while at an ICU there and it was outstanding.

The schools seemed nice (elementry) as I had two stepkids going. EVERYTHING and I mean everything is in that close area for stores, restaurants, etc.

You'll find a number of nice state parks that are very well kept. They even have dog areas. Also, if you in to bicycling, there's the Pinellas Trail or you'll find pleny of room with all the well kept sidewalks.

I really loved the area but moved back here to freakin freezing NH to be near my son.

If you have small kids....watch out for all the gators. They are everywhere!!!!

Good luck,

Don

Just thought of another really nice place my friends lived at. I'm pretty sure it was called Boot Ranch. Just northwest of where McMullen Booth crosses over Tampa Road. I think it is right about the border of Palm Harbor and Safety Harbor. Very nice apartments! Nothing cramped like the small one I live in here in NH.

You might want to check the town of Oldsmar as well. That's right in the same area. That whole area is about 15-20 mins from the closest beaches.

Thanks so much for the info. I am from the St. Pete area so I am familiar as far as the traffic and distance to certain locations. I think the info will come in handy when we are ready to look. Sounds like a few nice areas. I know Boot Ranch has built up quite a bit from when I was a kid but its been around for a while. Thanks again for the info.
