I am trying to decide on picking early slate billets and just trying to decide. If anyone has any info on Key West, Miami, and St Petersburg, would be greatly appreciated. ALL opinions welcomed on everything!
I have been to all those places keywest and miami numourous times ..st.pete only a few times.
imho..keywest is great place to vist but i would not want to live there...i knew coasties that went north to miami cuz they got bored with keywest..sounds mess up i know but..unless your a die hard drinker or boater the island is rather small and miami is a six hour drive..and not sure if you have kids..or not but the place is a party place..and well..there are some wierd o's there.
miami..i liked miami..when i was there before hurricane andrew hit..but i have been told the traffic is worse..well actually i worked in broward countie dania on a pb and airstation opa locka..no cost transfer..and almost never when to miami except for work or south beachs topless women(like ron white says ,once you seen one set of tig bitties you want to see them all)..oh and bayside..just cuz ..fun area beautifull so is base miami beach i liked the pub there the gator den... crime is sorta overrated there i believe ...at least i did,nt see alot of it..but i don't go out late out night..lots to do for city people.
st.pete..is nice..that would be my pick..more family oriented slower pace..more american..but to each there own.
If you get st.pete vist. Tarpon springs..I believe you,ll find less crime in st.pete..and more english spoken around..either way good luck.
Why not add Mayport florida to that list..close to st.augustine (lot of history oldest city in the US) and nice beaches ..a fun area..nice beaches..a real taste of florida.
not to bad for children or for partying either one.
Well, if you're gonna look into things, check & see if Ponce De Leon Inlet is available in New Smyrna Beach. It is a great station. Has a small exchange, a 47' close to Daytona Beach, Patrick AFB & many others...
