Orders to Philadelphia! does anyone know the goods areas around there to live, i would like to find a nice suburb! Thank you.

You should find some affordable housing across the river from Philly in Camden, New Jersey. Don't know how safe it is anymore but it's probably still affordable - if you don't mind all the grafitti and don't go outside after 5 PM.

I'm stationed in Philly currently Most of the people here live in Delaware, a couple live out in Lancaster PA though. Delaware is about a 45min drive lancaster 1 1/2 hours.

Though there is quite a few of us living right across the schuylkill river in springfield/media PA it's a pretty nice area.

And Mr. Wood....Camden is not safe at all anymore. Affordable yes, but not safe.

The BAH here will cover your rent most of the time, my rent is about 300$ cheaper per month as is most people's who rent. (not sure your rank though)

Used to be some decent Coast Guard owned housing in Camden - within walking distance to the Campbell Soup plant.

Things change - I guess.

No more the only "government housing" for us is now at Mcguire Air Force Base. I THINK there's housing also offered on Fort Dix..not 100% and that's usually a hour drive away. :-/

Numbers - Are you stationed at the Fist/one of the Cutters/Sector or Station ?

Cherry Hill or Marlton, NJ. Not more than 20-30 mins, really nice, safe. I lived in riverton for a year when I was at Atlantic City.

y house is for sale under NJ house for sale and it is an hour and 15 minutes to Philly. Close to McGuire and Fort Dix.

We live in North Wilmington, DE. When are you reporting? Our rental should be available next summer. Also, there are tons of houses for sale in N. Wilm. Not sure if thats an option for you.
