Got orders to New London, I'm curious if anyone has experience with housing. I'm understanding that the CG has an agreement with the Navy to use their housing in Groton. My ship is underway and I haven't been able to get in touch with the housing office there yet. I have a chance to rent a house from a friend but it's a 50 mile commute. It may be time to buy! I was looking at western RI. So with all that said, who has feedback on the SE, CT housing market.

I think it is time to buy our house in Brooklyn,CT.. Shaster00! (The post above explains in detail) Tks race6fan

No,but seriously,it is the time to buy here in NE CT. Home prices have dropped, and interest rates are low. We can close on our house asap if need be. My husband's relief is coming in June(?),but we have places to live if someone comes in and wants to close beforehand. Also, the option of renting us the place until you get here is very possible. Whatever the situation,we are able to work with whoever ends up buying this house. Email me if you want pics/slideshow of it. sndbny@yahoo.com
