Just recieved orders to Camslant and need to move my wife, son and myself. Was wondering if you had any suggestions for the area. I was thinking of living over the border in NC. Any input would be greatly appreciated, especially rentals of houses. Nothing too extravagant...living off of E-4 pay.
How about housing on the base NW ANNEX? Great schools too. (not sure how old your son is, but....)They are building lots of new homes. I don't know much about NC other than homes are cheaper there (mostly taxes). Rentals are expensive in South Chesapeake and utilities can be as well, but the schools are worth it. Well I live in Elizabeth City, Nc and commute to Portsmouth. The housing at NW are being remodel and seem to be nice places to live.If not would suggest NE Carolina, cheaper to live and not a long commute to CAMSLANT.
